We provide counseling in the following formats:
One on one therapy is vital for those struggling with the private issues that can affect every part of life. Individual counseling is a collaborative process between client and therapist. The client identifies presenting concerns and together the client and therapist establish goals to remediate these concerns. Though therapeutic techniques vary from each professional, the desired outcome of counseling is to aid the client in achieving goals and developing the skills and tools necessary to lead a healthy and positive life.
Couples counseling is working with two people in a committed, emotional relationship. Couples counseling assists with communication, conflict management, expectations, and more.
The word “family” refers to two or more people who are related in anyway – biologically, emotionally, or legally. One’s patterns of thoughts and behavior, values and beliefs are all influenced by and are under the influence of other family members. Therefore, a family therapist will help work through the difficulties with the family as a whole while still addressing the needs of each individual. Every member is involved and encouraged to actively participate in bringing the unit back together as a healthy and functioning family.
Help provide children and their parents with education, support and counseling needed to assist the child and family in dealing with issues specific to the family and situation. Some concerns to be addressed may include: behavioral difficulties, attention problems, anger management, depression, divorce recovery. These issues are addressed through play and experience-based therapies in individual and family formats.
