Paula Raley, LCSW
Paula Raley is a Licensed Independent Social Worker. She obtained her Master’s degree in Social Work from New Mexico State University. She has a background in working with families and family reunification assistance and early childhood interventions. Her special areas of interests include: depression, anxiety, trauma, parenting, relation issues and addiction. She provides individual, couples, and family therapy for adolescents and adults from a family systems perspective.
Debra Dederich-Elsner, LMHC
Debra is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology and Anthropology from St. Norbert College and completed her Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling from Lakeland College in Wisconsin. Debra has experience working with individuals with mood disorders, anxiety, anger management, ADHD, and depression. She also has a passion for working with children and adolescents in which she incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Art Therapy and Play Therapy to help address communication and behavioral issues. Debra believes in the strengths and qualities of each of her clients, encouraging them to positively grow and develop in a safe therapeutic setting.
Nathan Interial, LMHC
Nathan is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, he received a Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. Nathan has experience working with couples, individuals, and children. His special areas of interest include PTSD and trauma, depression, marital issues, anxiety, and substance abuse.
Chris Mayton, LMSW
Chris is a native New Mexican, providing services in the Albuquerque, Rio Rancho area since 1980. She obtained both of her degrees from New Mexico Institutions; New Mexico State and New Mexico Highlands University. She is a licensed Master Level Social Worker. Her special interests include: addiction, depression, anxiety, and problematical relationships. Chris is committed to assisting clients to improve the quality of their lives by affecting meaningful change.
Aaron Powell, LCSW
Aaron is a Clinical Social Worker and a longtime Albuquerque/Corrales resident. He has extensive experience working with children and with individuals with anger management and anger-control problems. Prior to coming to The Family Connection, Aaron worked in the public schools, as a School Social Worker. Aaron is very passionate about child welfare. Aaron has experience working with individuals with anxiety, depression, and substance abuse issues. He is a Humanist who believes in the healing power of unconditional positive regard, which correlates directly to a large part of his religion. Aaron also utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, DBT skills, and play-therapy, depending on the developmental age and needs of the individual client. As a very compassionate individual, Aaron believes in people, and he is dedicated to helping his clients achieve their utmost potential.
Kara Satches, LMHC
Kara is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who obtained her Master's degree from Southwestern College. Kara is passionate about facilitating transformation through compassionate support, unconditional positive regard, and personal empowerment. Kara has a background in working with adolescents and young adults. Her areas of special interest include eating disorders, trauma, depression, and anxiety.
Nichole Strasser, LMSW
Nichole is a Licensed Master Social Worker. Nichole received her Bachelors of Science degree in psychology at the University of New Mexico and completed her Masters degree at New Mexico State University. Nichole is currently working towards her Licensed Clinical Social Work level of licensure. Her areas of interest include families, couples and working with adults.
